The Company
The Green Recruitment Company are representing a grid connections specialist in the west midlands looking to add a trainee project manager to the team to assist in the management and supervision of internal and external staff.

The Role
The main responsibilities will include:
• Helping PMs achieve their respective project objectives
• Responsibility for project safety, cost and quality
• Preparation Work Instructions, Risk Assessments & Method Statements
• Liaison with Local Authorities regarding street works
• Procurement and control for project materials
• Provision of monthly project reports
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Liaison with DNO’s & iDNO’s to complete final connections
• Liaison with and support both the client and internal team to ensure smooth project delivery

The Candidate
• Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar e.g. C&G, ONC, HNC or Degree
• Previous experience in Project Management within the Electricity distribution industry is useful
• Experience in managing internal and external labour for cable laying, cable jointing, switchgear installation and commissioning would be beneficial
• Previous experience of power distribution networks is beneficial
• Excellent organisational ability, initiative and strong influencing skills
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to provide solutions when required to use imitative
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Keen to learn and commit to long term career
• IT skills including Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets and database software
