The Company

The Green Recruitment Company is representing a leading renewables consultancy. They are looking to recruit a Renewables Contract Manager.

The Role

• To set up and manage renewables contracts with the aim of achieving profitable contracts.
• Lead renewables installations teams, and be responsible for communicating business and contract objectives to all members of the team.
• Agree contract and labour programmes with the directors.
• Oversee the progress of the projects and update programme accordingly, communicate changes to all affected participants.
• Identify variations to contract that may impact the programme.
• Ensure timely request for the delivery of all information.
• Prepare for and attend regular CRAP (contract report on achieved performance) meetings with directors.
• Use financial tracking systems.
• Ensure all in-coming invoices or applications for payment from suppliers and sub contractors are checked and signed off.
• Attend meeting with renewable sales consultant and client to ensure all requirements and potential problems are understood.
• Represent the company at site meetings.
• Resolve any client based issues referred by site managers.
• On completion and handover, compile O&M manual for the contract containing all relevant information, user instructions and guarantees and arrange for its delivery to the client in the requested format.
• Assist the directors in arranging and hosting promotional events and corporate entertainment.
• Monitor methods and output to ensure that the required quality standards are achieved within budget
• Attend regular RISC (review and instigate safety & care) meetings to discuss health and safety and environmental matters
• Supervise site practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the company H&S policy

The Candidate

• Relevant engineering or construction related degree
• Good people management ability
• Prior experience in contract management
• Able to work to deadlines
• SMSTS qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Health and safety qualifications will be beneficial
