Business Analyst - FATCA IT - £50k
My T1 investment banking client require a Business Analyst to work on a number of FATCA related projects within their Tax Operations IT area.
THE ROLE
- Work on any particular aspect of the project lifecycle from initiation to implementation and post-project review
- Be comfortable with change management in its many forms (e.g. infrastructure development, operational re-engineering, restructuring/out-sourcing, continuous improvement, strategic development)
- Package discreet pieces of work or problems into clearly focused and structured projects (typically requiring a small team or leveraging Production staff)
- Translate specific business knowledge from subject matter experts (SME's) into clearly articulated and succinct business requirement documents and/or business cases
- Identify and document test scripts, migration approaches, etc in a structured and logical fashion
- Solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated)
- Critically assess, document and facilitate the improvement of operational processes
- Work well in a team, in a pressurised environment where not all structures, processes, hierarchies, etc are clearly formulated or may change rapidly
- Adapt to change quickly, be it the focus of a project or the workload or content of a particular day
- Be a self starter, able to motivate others and create as a priority in their workload the project or initiative that is their mandate
- Constructively challenge processes, approaches, attitudes, where this will result in improvement
- Identify risks, assess and quantify their impact, and develop actions or plans that mitigate those risks manifesting themselves
- Understand, define and deliver on set targets, deadlines and deliverables
- Have an understanding of current market settlement processes and practices, the trade lifecycle and F2B processes
YOU WILL BE
- Relevant investment banking experience
- Drive for results & delivery within the project lifecycle
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple disciplines within the project lifecycle
- Team work, including people outside of operations, including business & technical staff
- Clear & organised communication style
- Proactive, conscience and determined
- Comfortable working away from the core project team and being able deliver required results even though they will be unable to engaging SME's face to face.
- Self confident to liaise with various parts of the business, while also being able to accept and manage the views of others
