The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading developer of marine technology who are looking to add an EC&I Manager to to their team.

The Role:

The Control, Instrumentation and Electrical (CI&E) Engineer will provide SCADA and PLC control and instrumentation systems expertise for our client’s new technology. The CI&E Engineer will lead on design, procurement, installation, configuration and operation of our SCADA, PLC and power generation systems. The successful candidate will have an appreciation of other engineering disciplines` constraints and project requirements.

CI&E Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Company lead on all control, instrumentation and electrical engineering issues
• Close engagement with engineering, project and contractor teams to ensure project KPIs are met
• Work with third party verification bodies to secure design certifications
• Creating CI&E system design specifications, commissioning and fault-finding
• Operation and configuration of SCADA, PLC and data collection & storage systems
• Tender appraisal, and equipment and supplier selection
• Interfacing and managing contractors both on and off-site
• Contribute to the design, development and construction of grid connection infrastructure, ensuring compliance with grid codes and grid connection agreements

The Candidate

• Proven experience of working with control and instrumentation systems
• Extensive experience of DCS/SCADA and PLC configuration and programming
• Experience of power generation systems and generation connection to the grid
• Instrumentation process within renewables or similar industries
• Application of industry standards covering electrical and control system installations
• Experience in site commissioning and operational activities
• Experienced in project management, including controls, planning and estimating and preparation of deliverables / work package
• Significant project engineering experience
• Excellent attention to detail to aim for complete availability of C&I systems
• Ability to use initiative and demonstrate creativity
• Excellent communication, numeracy and written communication skills
