The Client
The Green Recruitment Company are currently working alongside a market leading energy consultancy who are looking for an office based Energy Consultant to provide client support across the energy management team

The role
At the heart of the Energy Management team, the Energy Consultant will provide telephone support to our client’s diverse client base within the B2B market place. This role requires a confident and effective communicator to provide “Energy Health Checks“, benchmark energy consumption and offering professional advice on basic energy reduction opportunities.

Primary Candidate Responsibilities

• The Energy Consultant will provide assistance and support to the delivery of our client’s Energy Services proposition to our clients.
• Assist in the production of desktop Energy Efficiency Benchmark certificate using our client’s Energy Software, including telephone support for the gathering of relevant data.
• Collecting and preparing data into a useable and specified format to enable business activities such as the preparation of energy services including Energy Benchmarking.
• Provide assistance and support to the Energy Services Telephone Helpline, providing high level Energy Efficiency advice to our client base.
• Provide customer telephone contact as required. This may include, but is not limited to; approaching prospective customers, following up on customer contact, cross-selling to existing customers, and assessing customer satisfaction of services completed.
• Actively monitor and update the ‘Business Energy Plus’ database, managing information and keeping folders up to date, following internal Quality Management System requirements and following processes developed specifically around client requirements.
• Support the Marketing Manager in the preparation of an Energy Services Newsletter, this may include the preparation and chasing of copy.

Shared roles with other members of staff
• Perform the day to day office administration tasks including; printing, drafting and typing letters, memos and other documents, inputting data, working with spreadsheets.
• Answer the office telephone, meet and greet clients when they visit the office if required.
• Promote and actively work to our internal management systems.
• Ad hoc duties as may reasonably be required by the Business.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute to new initiatives within the business, whilst attending internal meetings.
• Provide assistance to the Administration Team with the scheduling of on-site assessments and implementation of new initiatives.
• Signposting customers or queries to Energy Services specialists within the business when required or out of the main scope advice.
Candidate Requirements
• Degree (2:1 or above) in an Energy/Environmental/Engineering or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Knowledge with energy efficiency technologies (although full training will be provided).
• Looking to progress in an expanding Company.
• Ideally be familiar with energy saving techniques and technology, due to the nature of the role an excellent telephone manner is essential. The applicant should be interested in the energy management sector and be passionate about helping people and businesses make energy reductions in their buildings.
• IT literate – Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, polite friendly telephone manner, proactive approach to working.
