The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to represent a leading development and infrastructure consultancy in their search for a Principal/Associate of Transport Planning. This is a UK wide consultancy with multiple offices in the EU offering services in Planning & Development, Transport and Utilities. They are looking for a Principal/Associate of Transport Planning to be based in their South-East office.

The Role:

The Associate/Director of Transport will be responsible for the organisation, planning and supervision for the Transport team. The Associate/Director of Transport will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the multi-disciplinary team through all stages of different projects.

Key responsibilities / duties include:

• Transport Assessments
• Travel Plans
• Environmental assessments
• Transport Modeling
• Feasibility and design of transport solutions
• Concept highway design
• Developing policies and strategies

Capabilities and Qualifications

The Associate/Director of Transport will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, who has a degree / higher level qualification in Transport Planning or another relevant subject. The Associate/Director of Transport will have industry accreditation and will have a strong background in the similar transport planning roles.

The ideal candidates must have/be:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Transport Planning role
• Experience of managing projects
• Experience of working with clients, both in the public and private sector
• The ability to lead on Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and deliver through others
• Good experience of trip generation/distribution models
• Good understanding of the Planning system
• Knowledge of LinSig, PICARDY, SATURN, VisSim (preferred)
• Experience of meeting demanding deadlines
• Experience of budget monitoring, change management and fee negotiation
• Good communication skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly including: MS Word (Intermediate - Advanced) & MS Excel (Intermediate - Advanced);
