IT Support Analyst (+ project work) - Oil and Gas Consultancy

Salary: Circa 30K+ Benefits + Bonus

A market leader in Oil and Gas exploration consultancy is looking to hire an IT Support Analyst to provide diverse support across Desktop, Network and Server technologies for the business. The role is a diverse mixture of troubleshooting and project work so there is plenty for the IT support analyst to get stuck in with from day one. The working environment is fast paced so this role will be suitable for creative problem solvers who work well handling both complex face to face and also remote issues.

  • Experience of Windows technical user support, including software and hardware troubleshooting in the PC and related peripheral environment. This includes Windows desktop OS (7Enterprise) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Installation and repair of hardware, including desktops, servers and laptops
  • Sound knowledge of PC architecture and fault diagnosis.
  • Other desirables: Networking, End User accounts and permissions, application software and configuration, preparing new stations and system upgrade projects.

This role would be ideal for a highly personable candidate who has a couple of years experience out of university and keen to be given the opportunity to step into a role with increased responsibilities. Candidates with more experience in a support capacity in a similar style environment would also suit the role well.

The Oil and Gas Consultancy sector is rapidly growing as more complex solutions and data management tools become available, so this is a perfect opportunity for a technologist with a keen interest in energy/commodities to build a career in this niche arena where candidates with business knowledge are highly valued in the market.
