Management Accountant (Finance Business Partner)
RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Management Accountant (Finance Business Partner) to join a small but expanding property/construction business based near Loughborough. The business is going from strength to strength and has ambitious expansion plans, supported by external plc funding.
The role will report to the FC.
The position will undertake finance duties for at least six sites that are all separate legal entities. It is expected that this will increase over time. A key part of the role is to liaise with the Sales and Marketing teams for these sites and support their pricing and costing strategies. You will be expected to communicate regularly with Project Managers and be aware of any delays or overruns and communicate these to the senior management team.
The current finance package is Sage L50, but this will be changing in the next 12 months.
- Production of Management accounts
- Cash flow
- Budgets and Forecasting
- Setting up new entities on Sage L50
- VAT Returns
- Uploading of payments on-line for authorisation
- CIS scheme payments
- Support audit requirements
- Previous relevant FBP experience
- Hands on
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to build rapport and work with non-finance staff
- Flexible approach to your work
- Happy to roll sleeves up when needed
- Can work in an autonomous environment with minimal supervision
This is not an overly technical finance role. It requires an accountant who can communicate with the wider business units and have an overview of the project costs and timeframes. The role is pivotal in providing the business with up to date MI and recognising variances.
You must have previous experience in a similar role. You do not have to be a qualified accountant so QBE’s are welcome to apply. This is a varied role which will increase the legal entities by 2 or 3 a year so you must be comfortable with multiple entity accounting and setting up new businesses on Sage (or the new system when it is installed).
You must be capable of challenging existing processes and supporting growth and change. The business is going through an exciting growth stage and you will be able to help support that.
