This apprenticeship is based at the St Albans office, although some travelling will be required as you progress through your apprenticeship.

Main Responsibilities

  • Solving IT problems for clients via, desktop and telephone support
  • Hardware and software installations and upgrades
  • Networking duties
  • Onsite visits within the M25 (initially supported by an engineer)
  • Working with Autotask IT management software

Qualities/ requirements

  • Good knowledge of IT systems with basic knowledge of computer components and hardware
  • Experience with installing software
  • Basic experience in solving IT issues
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good verbal communication including comfortable Speaking with clients on the telephone
  • Good written communication, particularly for email communication with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Happy to work independently and manage own workload when required
  • Happy to ask for help if required
  • Genuine interest in IT

Qualification requirements

3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above

Other Important Information

Daily working hours: 9am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
