New vacancy for a PMO Manager in the South East

An international manufacturer of bespoke machinery has been growing their project department on the back of long term growth in the business. To sustain this growth, project management has become a key focus of the senior management team and is being prioritised throughout the business.

As such the international Project Director has been hiring a number of project managers over the last 18 months and now would like to support this team with an experienced PMO.

The focus of this position will be to implement robust governance and controls into the department supporting the project mangers through the project lifecycle.

This is a great opportunity to work from a 'blank page' to implement procedures and processes in many instances from scratch.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

- Promote programme of change to staff throughout the business.
- Knowledge of PMO practices and processes
- Proficient in the use of project tools and methodologies i.e. MS Project, PMI etc
- Able to set up governance and control processes for projects/programmes
- Establish PMO framework that supports project completion to the required standards
- Act as the primary liaison for key stakeholders
- Establish systems that work across 2 business units inclusive of checklists, meetings, overseeing financial data, ensuring prioritisation of resource and effective communication.

Systems will be implemented across 2 business units the first in the UK and the second in Europe as such some international travel may be required and a second language though not essential could be of benefit.

An excellent company to work for they are offering a starting salary of £50-55,000 depending on experience alongside benefits and flexible working hours.
