Our Client is a multi-national organisation with a number of start-up new venture businesses established to leverage into new and developed global markets. One of these ventures is focused on advanced materials and technologies and is aimed at developing and selling into an exciting, expansive and rapidly developing global EV market. Reporting to the Managing Director the Commercial Director will be accountable for the creation and execution of the commercial plan to support an ambitious global growth strategy and will be responsible for:
- Creating a sales and marketing strategy that delivers robust and sustained revenue and profit growth.
- Developing and growing a high performing global technical sales/business development teams.
- Driving external growth by identifying suitable targets and establishing business relationships with leading companies in agreed sectors.
- Execution of the commercial plan to support the business strategy, budget, three and ten year plans.
This role will appeal to a commercially hungry, self-motivated individual with genuine drive, energy and enthusiasm. An engineering or science graduate you will have an entrepreneurial bias and a hands-on approach. Technical sales and business development capability gained with in a chemicals/advance materials environment would be a distinct advantage. Extensive experience in developing, growing and mentoring high performing global technical sales teams will be essential combined with strong intellect, strategic acumen and a high degree of cultural sensitivity. Whilst the position will be located in the UK it is anticipated that there will be extensive international travel.
