An opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk has arisen to join a fast-moving, dynamic organisation in the Liverpool on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

Our client is a well-established PLC and as such, they are looking for candidates with Big Company backgrounds.

The Finance team is also undergoing a period of change and as such, candidates should be prepared to support the changes taking place.

The Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will take responsibility for:

* Processing a high volume of invoices
* Assisting with payment runs on a weekly basis
* Reconciling statements
* Be the first point of contact for resolving complex queries
* Acting as a "change agent" during time of transformation

The successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will meet the following skillset:

* Proven working experience in a high volume and fast paced Purchase Ledger position
* Will have strong IT skills including Excel - previous use of the Oracle system is essential
* Be able to provide a high-level of customer service
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Be prepared to demonstrate to colleagues have manual work can be automated
* Ability to make process and systems improvements
* Will be immediately available for work/on one weeks' notice
