Based at our Manchester depot, you’ll enjoy a hands-on role undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks on a site wide basis, with a focus on ensuring the safe, continuous and efficient running of site operations, plant equipment and associated mechanicals throughscheduled routines.

This will include responsibility for:

General buildings and site maintenance – carrying out a variety of repair, testing and modifications across a range of plant/equipment, as well as keeping associated recordsOverseeing maintenance contracts, supervising the activities of on-site contractors and supporting site operators/operations manager with regular safety checks and calibrationsThe implementation and management of a Site Preventative Maintenance Plan, managing the effluent plant and undertaking on-call duties/emergency call outs when necessaryIdeally, we will be looking for an experienced maintenance engineer, qualified to HND/NVQ or equivalent level in mechanical/electrical engineering, who can demonstrate:

  • A relevant background and proven experience in liquid process engineering, gained in a related manufacturing industry
  • A good mix of electro/mechanical and diagnostic skills, ideally supported the ability to plastic and metal weld
  • The ability to prioritise and monitor your own workload in a fast paced and busy environment, where safety is of paramount importance
  • Any practical involvement in the implementation of PPM programmes, alongside a knowledge of programmable CPU’s and continuous improvement would also be advantageous
