About The RoleHC-One are on a mission to be the first choice care home for Residents and colleagues in each of the communities we serve.Due to our recent expansion we are creating a new Housekeeping Function with dedicated subject matter experts supporting operations team to deliver best practice housekeeping in our 356 care homes across the UK.This is an exciting career opportunity for a housekeeping professional with managerial experience across of multiple sites.The Role:The HC-One housekeeping function aims to provide a clean environment for Residents health, safety, comfort and wellbeing. The purpose of this role is to provide the operational lead for HC-One's Housekeeping function which provides a quality housekeeping service to Residents, Visitors and Colleagues.Responsibilities Include: • Work with Senior Management Team and central support to design and deliver fully compliant, high quality, housekeeping services in HC-One. • Seek innovative ways to promote and improve performance, quality and the standards of housekeeping services. Proactively identify and act upon opportunities to improve standards and productivity in HC-One housekeeping. • Support Senior Management Team to address issues, identify root cause and implement tactical action plans which improve the housekeeping service and delivery. • Design and implement specialist training programmes to develop competency of colleagues and promote their adoption of best housekeeping practices. Be the sector expert for care home best practice housekeeping. • Report results monthly by Area and quarterly by Region. • Be the housekeeping expert liaison and forward contact point for Senior Management Team, external and internal stakeholders, including regulators and suppliers. • Develop and maintain robust communications and working relations with support teams, internal and external regulators across HC-One. • Conduct Resident surveys, audits and reviews to monitor the delivery of housekeeping services. • Action improvement plans to achieve outstanding and excellence in housekeeping standards. • Visit homes regularly to establish business relationships with housekeepers, home and area management which will drive the housekeeping agenda. • Provide support in the event of an operational crisis through design and management of a remedial action plan agreed with regional management.About YouThe Candidate: • Business Management Degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management or Healthcare Management • Experience in the management of functional teams • Experience in Healthcare setting desirable not essentialThe role will involve visiting HC-One Homes' across the UK so you must be prepared to travel within the role.
