IT Procurement Manager (Software/IT Services)
My clients a leading bank based in CanaryWharfcurrently seek a Category Manager (Procurement - Software & IT Professional Services) 50-65k.

Working as a part of a wider, specialist Procurement function this role will influence and drive the commercial strategy specifically for IT Software and various Managed/Professional Services for the IT Category within the bank. Proactively impacting the end-to-end supplier lifecycle from strategy through to stakeholder engagement, tender, negotiation and contract management you will look to meet the best interests of the organisation and identify sustainable savings.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
*Establish suppliers for the Software and IT Professional Services Category
*Run robust tender processes.
*Lead effective supplier negotiations and assist with ongoing management of suppliers - Constant identification, reporting and achievement of cost savings
*Liaise internally - managing key stakeholder relationships,
*Managing the cost base by delivering opportunities that drive costs out through demand management.
*Ensuring best practice and maximal contractual protection whilst co-ordinating sourcing savings across the group.
*Awareness of regulatory compliance and management of Risk.
*Provide subject matter expertise on market trends, best practise, cost consultancy.
*Awareness of regulatory compliance and management of Supplier Risk and mitigation.
*Uphold best practice and demonstrate compliance in internal and external rules and regulations.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
*Have solid and varied Software/ IT Managed or Professional Services Category experience.
*Will be a strong Manager level professional
*Will have excellent communication skills with proven stakeholder management ability.
*Have the ability to contribute ideas and bring innovation to the wider team and initiatives.
*Will posses excellent negotiation skills, commercial awareness and analytical ability.
Experience working in a COMPLEX, LARGE, business ideally within FINANCIAL SERVICES/BANKING yet non-essential.
