Trusts and Foundations Development Manager Up to £40,000 depending on experience 35 hours per week Vincent Square, London SW1 About us The Royal Horticultural Society has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years. Best known for our world famous Flower Shows and Gardens, our charitable work is diverse and includes connecting millions of children with nature through the RHS Campaign for School Gardening, supporting RHS Britain in Bloom, Europe’s largest community gardening campaign, and conducting pioneering horticultural science research. The RHS is currently undergoing a major £160million investment programme, which includes exciting new capital projects, from creating a new 5th Garden in Salford to a new state of the art Centre for Horticultural Science and Learning at RHS Garden Wisely. About you Reporting in to the Head of Philanthropy, you will manage, grow and deliver the RHS main programme of family trust applications across a number of different capital and revenue projects. You will also work closely with the Trusts Development Executive, Major Funding Team and wider RHS Fundraising team to generate and support the cultivation of major donor relationships through family trusts. You will be using your experience in making major funding approaches and influencing major funding opportunities. You will be driving forward research programmes of individual and charitable trust major funding prospects. You will have extensive understanding and experience of Trusts & Foundations fundraising with experience in developing and writing major funding applications. You will have extensive experience of working in a fundraising / development office, in a management capacity, with strong relationship building / influencing experience with Trusts & Foundations, towards major donations.
