By coming to work at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust you will be joining a Trust with a national reputation for research, where services recognise that research underpins its commitment to providing high quality and innovative clinical care.
As an applicant for this role, you are urged to demonstrate within your supporting statement a combination of evidence that reflects your competence to meet the job specification and provide examples of how C&I values are an integral part of the way you have and will continue to deliver service.

Previous applicants need not apply.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service as Employment Specialist, and deliver an essential part of a unique randomised controlled trial.
IPS has an established evidence base in supporting people with severe and enduring mental illness into paid employment. The trial will test whether the IPS model is effective in supporting people with a long term physical or mental health condition and/or disability into employment, within the primary care setting. People who agree to take part in the trial will be randomly allocated to receive either IPS support, or provided with information to access other employment services already available in Islington or Haringey (the control group).
As Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload of up to 25 unemployed people who have a long term health condition and/or disability. The role’s purpose is to help clients to secure and maintain paid work by following the 8 key principles of the IPS model and its underlying best practice principles. Training in the IPS approach will be provided.
The role involves liaison and integration with a wide range of referrers and teams, also working directly with employers to help IPS clients secure employment opportunities which match their preferences.
We are passionate about our new IPS service and the potential it has to make a huge difference to our clients. We welcome applications from people who would share our energy, drive and determination to support our clients into paid work.
Interviews to be held Wednesday, 7th March 2018.

In line with NHS protocols, only those applicants who demonstrate clearly how they meet our person specification will be shortlisted for interview. We regret that it is not possible to contact all applicants for every vacancy. If you have not been contacted within 4-6 weeks of the closing date please assume you have not been shortlisted for the next stageWe reserve the right to close any vacancies from further submissions, when we have received sufficient applications from which to make a shortlist.
