Consultant Respiratory Physician
Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Respiratory Physician.
PooleHospital has a reputation for being a centre of excellence in the South West with excellent feedback from patients and all grades of trainees. The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides a comprehensive service for COPD patients with a dynamic early supported discharge and oxygen assessment team and are part of the Dorset Adult Integrated Respiratory Service (DAIRS), incorporating pulmonary fibrosis and bronchiectasis with COPD. We provide an EBUS and medical thoracoscopy service as well as PleurX drain insertion and nurse-led clinics for asthma, TB screening, COPD and non-CF bronchiectasis.
This post provides excellent opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their own clinical interests. They will join the other 3 consultants & 2 specialist registrars as well as a growing multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, physiologists and pharmacists. The post will include supervising a team of junior staff in the management of general medical in-patients
