St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.

Community Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care

22.5 hours per week

Salary: £20,298 - £23,904 pa (FTE £33,830 - £39,840) (depending on depth and variety of experience in a similar role)

Location: St. Barnabas House, Worthing

  • Are you passionate about palliative care?
  • Do you have a comprehensive knowledge of pain and symptom control?
  • Do you possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team?

As a Nurse Specialist you will be working as part of the Community Palliative Care Team, providing 24 hour specialist nursing advice and support to patients, families and healthcare professionals.

Applications are welcomed from Registered Nurses with extensive palliative care experience and knowledge, preferably at Masters level. You should hold a relevant degree, or post registration qualification in Palliative Care/Oncology

We will support you to achieve advanced assessment skills, non-medical prescribing and DNACPR competencies.
