Part-time Neuro Physio Vacancy - Bristol
An exciting opportunity has become available to join my client as a Physiotherapist at their brand new neuro service in Bristol!They are quite small at the moment but are looking to grow to be a 32-bedded neuropsychiatry and neurobehavioural unit (22 rehabilitation beds and 10 neuro degenerative beds) so it is a fantastic time to join them and really be part of their journey. The hospital provides a neuropsychiatric service to individuals with brain injuries, organic brain disorders and degenerative conditions who require specialist therapy-led rehabilitation and support.In this role you will: • Deliver a clinical service for a complex client group with a range of acquired brain injuries (ABI) and neurological conditions • Attend relevant meetings and provide written and verbal reports on client progress when required • Conduct clinical audits and undertake relevant research • Contribute to the continuing development of a dynamic quality Physiotherapy service across the company • Undertake practice training and provide support to the Physiotherapy AssistantRequirements: • A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council • Currently operating as a Highly Specialist / Band 7 Physiotherapist or significant experience as a Specialist / Band 6 or equivalent • Post-registration experience in a Physiotherapist role with an ABI / Neuro client group • A relevant ABI / Neuro qualification e.g. Bobath is advantageous • A good understanding of core Physiotherapy skills and current best practice in Physiotherapy • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Excellent communication skillsIn return they will offer you: • Salary: £35k - £40k (pro rata) • 20 hrs per week across 2 : 3 days, flexible between Monday to Friday • Company pension scheme • Free meals on duty • Working closely with the Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapists and wider multidisciplinary on site team • Opportunity to work alongside a site based Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist • Training days throughout the year • CPD and research opportunitiesIf you are interested in this vacancy please send your updated CV to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will give you a call.
