CAS Behavioural Health has recently merged with Cygnet Health Care to become one of the largest mental health providers in the UK.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join us as a Part Time Physiotherapist at our brand new service, Brunel in Henbury Bristol.

We opened at the end of 2017 and currently have 4 patients. We will grow to be a 32-bedded neuropsychiatry and neurobehavioural unit (22 rehabilitation beds and 10 neuro degenerative beds). The hospital provides a neuropsychiatric service to individuals with brain injuries, organic brain disorders and degenerative conditions who require specialist therapy-led rehabilitation and support.

In this role you will:

• Deliver a clinical service for a complex client group with a range of acquired brain injuries (ABI) and neurological conditions
• Attend relevant meetings and provide written and verbal reports on client progress when required
• Conduct clinical audits and undertake relevant research
• Contribute to the continuing development of a dynamic quality Physiotherapy service across the company
• Undertake practice training and provide support to the Physiotherapy Assistant

We are looking for people who have:

• A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
• Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
• Currently operating as a Highly Specialist / Band 7 Physiotherapist or significant experience as a Specialist / Band 6 or equivalent
• Post-registration experience in a Physiotherapist role with an ABI / Neuro client group
• A relevant ABI / Neuro qualification e.g. Bobath is advantageous
• A good understanding of core Physiotherapy skills and current best practice in Physiotherapy
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills

• Salary: £35k - £40k FTE
• 20 hrs per week across 2 - 3 days, flexible between Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
