Materials Management Operative - Northampton
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Purchasing and Supply is a key function within the Trust and this vacancy offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Materials Management / Stores area of the team. The role is a combination of customer facing and back office support services. Key responsibilities will include assisting with relevant administrative processes; distribution of internal medical supplies to departments; ensuring stock levels are adequate; producing reports as required; assisting with off-loading of roll-cages or pallets and dealing with external and internal patients and visitors. We are seeking an individual who has excellent communication and organisational skills and is able to work within a physically-demanding role.
You must be keen to learn and work in a medical environment. You should be computer literate able to demonstrate good communication skills (including literacy and numeracy), team working and attention to detail. Previous knowledge of stock control and ordering system would be an advantage but full training will be provided.
You will also have achieved or be willing to undertake the Supply Chain Management
– Level 3 NVQ qualification.
