Medical Nurse Co-ordinator
Location: Central London
Salary: £32k per annum plus benefits

Our client, a Global Medical Insurance provider, has an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join a great nurse team to assist client's/patients who would like a 2nd opinion medically, before undergoing treatment.

As the nurse, you will provide them with clinical support throughout management of their case. You will be assigned your own caseload of medical cases to manage and oversee.

You will coordinate all medical operations and activities relevant to the client's case, including the patient, their family, the Medical Specialist Consultants and others according to each specific case.

You will provide the highest quality nurse service in an advisory capacity, liaising with surgeons, consultants, GP's etc.

The role in brief:

1. To explain the exact nature and added values of our client's service, while assessing the needs of the patient, understanding and managing the expectations of the patient and / or family.
2. Retrieve and organise all medical reports, documents, test results and information needed to manage the case.
3. Document medical updates accurately.
4. To coordinate all parties involved in the management of the patient’s case: the client and family, the Medical Specialist Consultants globally, and other medical parties. Schedule meetings and phone calls, confirming their execution.
5. To oversee the achievement of the clinical plan
6. To continuously update the Head Nurse and Operations Manager with regards to the status of the medical cases
7. To establish a relationship with the client and his family and be fully acquainted with his/hers medical case.
9. To proactively, and in real-time, identify and monitor the patient and his or hers medical condition and well-being:
a. Change in condition
b. Deterioration or improvement
c. Side effects of conditions or treatments
d. Adverse events
e. Change in general well-being e.g. eating habits, stool habits, sweating, sleeping habits, physical activity, etc…
f. Adverse events (e.g. Polypharmacy - taking several drugs at the same time etc.)
g. Adherence and compliance to treatment
h. Emotional changes and needs
i. Monitoring of patient & family satisfaction
j. Implement Telephone conversations, email correspondence and video chat
k. When patient lives in / or travels to London, as the nurse assigned to their medical case, you will have the opportunity to visit the patient to create personal rapport
