IT Network Engineer opportunity in Bury St Edmunds with West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

This programme will take the Trust to the status of one of the most digitally advanced Trusts in the world over the next two years. Building on the successful implementation of the Cerner's Millennium electronic patient record (EPR) system in May 2016 the Trust has an ambitious programme of work to further develop the digital capabilities that will bring real benefits to the patients we serve and to the staff employed in the Trust. As a result the Trust is seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced IT Network Engineer to join their team in Bury St Edmunds.

The IT Network Engineer will join 3rd line engineering within the IM&T department at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Network Specialist and will work very closely with the Trust IT Infrastructure Manager and other members of the infrastructure team. You will be involved in all aspects of Network and Telephony management from specification and procurement, to supplier engagement and evaluation, technology implementation and commissioning, routine monitoring and maintenance to assure the high levels of service that are the hallmark of the Trust IT Department.

The Trust are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter with strong values to accelerate the delivery of the Programme. Working as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service covering all aspects of the Wired, Wireless, VoIP and Unified Communications network infrastructure across the main Hospital campus and remote sites. Excellent organisation and communication skills are expected whilst exposure to Cerner's Millennium would be advantageous as would an understanding of project work within an IT environment. Short listed candidates will be able to evidence relevant experience and achievement in delivering tangible outcomes.

In return The Trust are offering a competitive salary up to £35,577, annual leave allowance of 27 days (entitlement) + 8 days (Bank Holidays), Pension Contributions - Tier 3/4 @ 7.1% or 9.3% with options to opt out, NHS Discount schemes and flexible working hours.
