Technology Access Control Analyst - London - upto £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits - Banking

This is a Technology Access Control Analyst role which will drive the improvement for role based access control governance (RBAC) across the Bank. The successful candidate will engage with IT teams and the business to manage application access control and associated processes.The role will require the candidate to build relationships with business stakeholders at all levels. The candidate will have to provide these areas with high quality and accurate reports and statistical information in conjunction with the documented evidences either periodically or on demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End to end management of all Business system role based reviews and understanding access control governance for Bank IT and Business Units.
  • Direct experience with supporting compliance and security control implementation and evidence collection.
  • Support improvements to the Bank's Security related policies, standards and procedures (e.g. segregation of duty, least privileged access, toxic combinations) ensuring they keep up to date with contemporary thinking.
  • Demonstrate a degree of creativity with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Through continuous review ensure that access role management procedures are up to date and comply with the Bank's policy requirements, and put in place remediation work where improvement required.
  • Provide accurate management information - produce reports to tight deadlines for Key Risk Indicators, internal and external auditors.
  • Continually work with internal systems or with 3rd parties to improve and develop the controls and requirements needed.
  • Support the delivery of a training programme to improve security awareness on segregation of duty, least privileged access and toxic combinations).

  • Proven experience with access control modelling methodologies (e.g. Role Based Access Control (RBAC), authorisation policy management, and risk-based methods of access lifecycle management for applications and data.
  • Experience and understanding of access governance around key financial applications, databases, and environments.
  • Working understanding of industry standards for IT processes and procedures and risk such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO2700x.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to target messages appropriately for Business Management, IT management, IT staff and IT risk team members.
  • Ability to work independently within a defined remit, managing schedule and multiple objectives with minimal oversight.

  • Previous financial services sector experience.
  • Experience with Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) methodology.
  • Experience across multiple IT and IT Risk domains.
