Java Software Engineer

**This position will pay up to £60,000**

Founded the turn of the millennium, this business has seen a phenomenal rise to success! A true household name with the 'tag' of being one of the most (top 10) viewed websites in the UK. Due to constant expansion, they are now looking for talented and ambitious Java Developer to join the tech team in their attractive London-based offices in SOHO.

This would be a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly skilled, sociable and intelligent team within a well established business and a multi-profitable product.

Required knowledge / experience / traits:
  • Writing clean and maintainable Java code. (Java 8, Spring Boot)
  • Streaming, searching and visualising data. (Kafka, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibanna)
  • Controlling and processing data. (Oracle, Vertica, Hadoop, Couchbase)
  • Working within, building and maintaining a Microservice environment. (Docker, Consumer Driven Contracts/Pact, APIs)
  • Testing and ensuring quality code and solutions. (TDD, code review)
  • Continuous integration with build and test automation. (Gradle, Jenkins, feature toggles)
  • Taking older code and products forward, by rewrite or refactor
  • Commercial experience of web applications holding positions with accountability around technical decision making and implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
