Lead CMS Developer / London / £35,000 plus bens

Sopra Steria Recruitment are seeking an experienced CMS Lead Developer to join a major client in Central London on a 10 month FTC to cover Maternity. In this role you will get involved in the implementation of day to day change requests to website content for operation of the customer facing website using Magnolia CMS. This involves but is not limited to evaluating, managing & implementing requests and enhancements to meet both customer needs and business objectives.

Principal accountabilities

•Management of CMS Mailbox & work-stream, assessing and progressing all requests appropriately.

•Implementation of change requests and deployment of content on the website, ensuring all tasks are carried out within agreed timescales, accurately and adhere to best practice standards, namely Accessibility, SEO & UX/Design.

•Where relevant, attend Development Cycle meetings and ensure all CMS requirements raised are captured, tested & implemented into CMS (training other CMS users where applicable).

•Define and manage through to solution ways to improve the CMS and it’s functionality to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.

•Escalation of Operational Issues, liaising with established technology partners as required by process.

•Support and advise all users of the CMS (incl. own team members) on appropriate and most effective use – formalising training where required.

•Act as CMS expert.

Qualifications, experience and skills

•An understanding of web accessibility, SEO, UX/Design best practice standards.

•Proven experience of Content Management Systems, ideally Magnolia, and Information Architecture.

•HTML skills.

•Ability to multi-task, adapt, communicate & deliver change on time within a busy environment.

•Must have excellent attention to detail, alongside problem solving skills, ensuring accurate work is delivered consistently.

•Experience of working within a regulated industry preferred.
