sjb medical is seeking innovative and highly motivated nurses to join a dynamic service within a well-established Women and Children’s Health division that provides a centre of excellence for babies requiring medical and neurological assessment and treatment.

Based in Bristol, the MBRRACE document identifies this Level 3 unit as among the best tertiary centres in the country for the outcomes of extremely premature infants.

As a Staff Nurse you will play a key role, adhering to a high standard of quality in the delivery of evidence based patient-centred care. You will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Carry out required planned, direct patient care to an excellent standard without direct supervision in accordance with established nursing procedures and policies
• Communicate effectively with the appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team regarding any significant changes to a patient’s condition or situation
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring that patients are treated with courtesy their individual needs are respected at all times

The successful candidate for this Staff Nurse position will hold the following:

• Full registration as a RN (adult or child) or RM (midwifery) with the NMC
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Enthusiasm and ability to learn
• If not already obtained, you will be expected to complete the Approved Neonatal Life Support Course as provided and you will be encouraged to apply for neonatal qualifications when in post.
