If so, then this could be the role for you! Care UK is looking for a Primary Care Team Lead to join our multi-disciplinary team. HMP Isle of Wight is a Cat B prison supporting rehabilitation for male adults and is located in Newport, Isle of Wight. It has a total prisoner population of around 1100 – held within two sites – Albany and Parkhurst. There are two primary healthcare centres operating as extended GP surgeries, including providing emergency responses. There is also an Inpatient healthcare unit providing 24 hour care for those with physical health, mental health substance misuse and palliative care needs. Each area has an allocated team leader. Benefits The salary range for this role is up to £38,000 per annum – dependent on experience. Team leaders may be rotated between the three centres. You will take responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional, competent and evidence based nursing practice, providing for the primary physical and mental health needs of all prisoners including palliative care within the establishment. Potential candidates will work closely and collaboratively with our team of General Practitioners, other healthcare professionals and prison officers who provide the safety, security and pastoral presence in the Healthcare environments, enabling nursing staff to focus on clinical care. There are opportunities for both full time or part-time roles The full time hours are 37.5 hours per week and part time is negotiable. Shift Pattern/working hours are on a rota basis, 7 days a week working in either the inpatient healthcare unit or primary healthcare centres.
