Band 5 developmental opportunities:• foundation to critical care programme for you to build-up confidence and experience • rotate across different critical care units to obtain experience specialties • nationally recognised training using the critical care network ‘step’ competencies • internationally recognised critical care course• mentorship course • simulation training • nurses who are newly qualified can apply for the Capital Nurse programme where you will build your experience, knowledge and specific skills in critical care. This is a scheme specifically for nurses in London.Our three critical care units cover a wide-range of specialities which include: major trauma, neurosurgery, neurology, cardiac surgery, cardiology, hepatobilary haematology, cancer and renal. By choosing a career in critical care with our team you can tap into a range of exciting opportunities which may inspire you to work in clinical education, outreach work to support former patients and organ donation or become an advanced nurse practitioner or a site nurse practitioner.
