“We put the special into specialist Surgery”Staff Nurse – Band 5 - 10 South Ward, Charing Cross HospitalThe ENT unit at Charring Cross Hospital is a specialist regional referral centre for major head and neck cancer surgery. It is one of the few centres in Europe that performs major complex airway reconstruction surgery. We work with some of the most renowned ENT surgeons on the continent. 10 South Ward is 23 bedded acute surgical Ward. We treat patients undergoing a number of surgical procedures such as Laryngectomy, cranio facial resection, tracheostomy and breast and facial reconstruction from day one post-surgery until discharge. Our unit is a dynamic and vibrant place to work with a large and dedicated multi-disciplinary team that is focused on quality and education. We welcome applications from registered nurses from all backgrounds both experienced and newly qualified. We aim to offer all successful candidates assistance in developing specialist knowledge in ENT, Plastic Surgery, wound care, training in tracheostomy and airway management, mentorship training, preceptorship program for all newly qualified nurses. Continuous coaching and support provided by our ward practice educator along with regular teaching sessions with specialist nurses and surgeons.
