Are you a Band 5 nurse with experience in the following: A&E triage, acute medicine, critical care or oncology? Then you may have some important transferable skills to lead you to a new and stimulating career opportunity in the innovative specialty of haematology nursing. In one of Europe’s leading specialist haematology and stem cell transplant centres, we care for patients with a range of blood diseases including: leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, sickle cell disease, aplastic anaemia and haemophilia. We also offer pioneering treatment to patients with multiple sclerosis by offering stem cell transplant as a treatment option. Progress your career and develop new skills in the administration of stem cells, managing immunosuppression and neutropenic sepsis, symptom control, essential skills in chemotherapy, and end of life care. You will have the opportunity to work across our complete patient care pathway. This includes a large inpatient facility made up of 50 beds across three wards. We also have an extended day care provision with a day pain service and ambulatory care which provides a Monday through to Sunday service, and a 24 hour emergency pathway accessed via our dedicated triage and assessment unit.
