RGN £25,000- 29,500 doe + Benefits and EnhancementsLeeds Full Time Eclypse Recruitment is searching for excellent RGN's to join an independent private hospital based near to Leeds. Out client has been providing an extensive range of surgical and medical services to patients from West Yorkshire.Our Vacancy We are looking for outstanding Staff Nurses to work on an elective surgical ward who ideally have surgical experience behind them. You will be given time to care for the patients and in return our nurses help achieve success at the hospital. If you join this vibrant team, you will work with leading consultants many of whom have national and international reputations. Our consultants hold a wide range of expertise; these include Orthopaedic, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Breast, Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Diagnostic Cardiac and General Surgery. Our client is currently looking for a committed and flexible nurse to join our busy inpatient team allowing you to flex your hours to suit both home and work commitments.We believe patient support plays a critical role in delivering a positive outcome for the patient. As a member of our team you will be ward based proving assistance and information to patients as an essential part of their care. Patients benefit from this dedicated approach throughout the duration of their treatment.In return, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to nursing and willingness for continuing professional development. You must be an effective communicator, organised and have the ability to make decisions within your scope of practice.HoursThis is a full time position for 37.5 hours per week over variable shifts days, nights and weekends.To be successful for this position you need to be:NMC registered/Level 2 or 3 NVQ or equivalentExperience working in a general surgical environmentHave the ability to work within a team and independentlyHave an ability to transfer skills through a variety of specialities.A recognised teaching qualification and mentorship experience is also desirable (for qualified staff).ALS certificate would be an advantage but not essential( for qualified staff)Phlebotomy/cannulation skills would be an advantageAccountabilitiesUndertake routine tasks related to individual's health and well beingAssess the health and wellbeing needs of people whose needs are relatively stable and consistent.Establish and maintain communication with people on routine care matterDevelop own and others' personal development.Monitor and maintain health and safety and security for self and othersContribute to the implementation of servicesAcknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
