2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Blue Sky Systems are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual to join the support team. The role will involve covering 1st and 2nd line support calls along with some system administration activities. The candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in an IT systems support role.

This fantastic opportunity will be working from home with a requirement to attend the office in Leatyherhead on an rare basis, along with travel to customer locations throughout England as required.

The candidate should show knowledge and experience in most of the following:
- Knowledge of DNS, DCHP and Active Directory.
- Group policy administration.
- Exchange user and mailbox administration.
- Troubleshooting end user and connectivity issues.
- IP Addressing, Switching and Routing.
- Firewall administration and log review.
- Backup system administration particularly VEAM and monitoring.
- Excellent communication, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Confident and professional phone manner.
- Windows Server Operating systems experience.
- Confident and professional phone manner.
- Proactive server monitoring and reporting.
- Experience of server and desktop patching.
- VMware or Hyper-V experience is desirable
