24 hours per week with working pattern to be agreed and flexible around job holder’s other commitments (such as school holidays, hours within the day). Reporting to the CEO.

RAFT is an award-winning medical research charity with an outstanding track record of quickly delivering benefits to patients. Our aim is to ensure that every patient who suffers a wound or major tissue trauma regains their quality of life, independence and dignity. To do this we undertake innovative ground-breaking medical research into tissue and bone reconstruction, using cutting edge techniques to achieve transformative results.

We are made up of a diverse group of people including scientists, laboratory staff, fundraisers and administration staff. We are a small team where individual strengths and efforts can make a big impact.

Working at RAFT:

This is a new post which will provide a superb opportunity for the right person to support a vital medical charity and assist it in both its development and the maintenance of sound accounting and business practices.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Overseeing the management of the accounting system, banking, payroll, VAT
  • Fundraising reports
  • Managing purchase ledger system
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Preparing budgets and projected cash flows, analysis and commentary
  • Completion of the financial section of fundraising applications
  • Making statutory returns
  • Supporting the development of the charity
  • Participating as a key member of the executive team
  • Liaison with the Home Office for Sponsorship matters

Candidates must be Chartered, ACCA or CIMA fully qualified and will ideally have experience of working within a small group of companies and in the not for profit sector.
