We’re offering an exciting opportunity that will provide you with experience in the care of stroke patients within Northamptonshire. The service has been rated an A according to SSNAP (Stoke Sentinel National Audit Programme).
Allebone is a 28 bedded Acute/Stroke rehabilitation ward. The ward is supported by an enthusiastic and highly experienced team of ward based Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists and our ward has a body of Consultants and ward based doctors who are on rotation.
We strive to offer an excellent standard of care and we are looking to recruit both experienced Nurses as well as those nurses who wish to develop skills in this specialist area. As a newly qualified nurse you will receive preceptorship for the first 3 months and we also actively encourage and support further learning.
The service is also currently developing a rotational Programme for all of staff to work between the Hyper acute and acute/ rehabilitation units.
We are looking for motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individuals to join our great team in delivering high quality care to patients following Stroke.
You will be required to work both autonomously and part of a team in caring for the acutely unwell patient including the ability to work empathically with clients and their families. You will also be expected to establish and maintain a high standard of nursing practice, ensuring that quality of care provided is continually informed by best evidence-based practice. In return we can offer you the opportunity to develop Specialist Nursing skills and undertake further study and training if desired.
