Inpatient PhysiotherapistSouthamptonFull TimePermanentWe are currently helping one of our private hospitals in Southampton recruit for a physiotherapist to join their friendly established team. The hospital has 85 beds, a number of consulting rooms and theatres, they treat patients from all across the South of England, as well as overseas. They have just opened a new theatre has the Da Vinci robot and is a very exciting new development that enables the hospital to provide robotic surgery for their patients.The hospital is proud of their ability to offer complex procedures, due to their newly updated Critical Care Department, which includes intensive care and high dependency units. Specialties include orthopaedic, spinal and cardiac surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, dermatology, ear nose and throat, ophthalmology, urology, cosmetic and bariatric surgery. The hospital also boats an excellent diagnostic imaging department and Catheter Lab.Details of the role:We are looking to recruit a capable and experienced team worker to join our Physiotherapy team in our Southampton Private Hospital. As a qualified Physiotherapist with us you can enjoy a very diverse role.This role is for an Inpatient Physiotherapist who will be working as part of a team to treat a wide variety of expert elective surgery ranging from orthopaedic (adult and paediatric), general surgery and cardiac patients, some of whom require our input in our intensive care setting. The post holder will be expected to cover all specialities as part of our team approach to caring for our inpatients.The applicant will be expected to work flexibly over 7 days which includes participating in our weekend rota. The role is 37.5 hours per week although we would consider part-time for the right candidate. The position is based at in Southampton.Your role will involve:working with our multi-disciplinary team on our inpatient wards to rehabilitate patients and prepare for discharge.Building successful working relationships with our Nurses, Radiographers and expert Consultants will be a defining factor in delivering the outstanding patient outcomes we are proud of.You will find you can quickly build your clinical knowledge by such close working with fellow clinicians and some of the best regional consultants.You will have the chance to treat patients from the following areas: MSK, Ortho, ITU, Respiratory, cardiac and general surgery.Our client provides a busy and progressive private hospital offering a wide range of procedures from medical, surgical and orthopaedic specialisms. They are very proud to offer excellent inpatient physiotherapy over 7 days. Our weekends are covered by a rota system supported by contract and bank staff.The post holder must be a qualified physiotherapist with a valid HCPC registration have at least 2 years post graduate experience. It is essential that the applicant has experience working in an acute setting having covered such rotations appropriate to the specialities.
