UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service. Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), is a leading centre for the diagnosis, treatment and care for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.The NHNN currently has an exciting job opportunity. We are looking to recruit highly skilled and experienced nurses to take the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (NRU), forward to offer a world class Nursing service in Rehabilitation. The NHNN provides comprehensive health care and rehabilitation service for a diverse community. It is a major London teaching hospital and is at the forefront of academic research and Nursing excellence.The NRU is a multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment and experience of MDT working is essential for this post. We are a specialist Rehabilitation unit offering adult neurological rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological conditions. With relevant post registration experience in an acute and rehab field and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of a Neurological Rehabilitation Nursing. Your role will ensure that patients are actively progressing through their clinical pathway, and monitoring the constant clinical development of the Nursing team. Your ability will enable you to prepare coordinate and deliver an education process that will work toward raising the nursing profile.You will need excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong Leadership qualities and Clinical skills which will require you to keep calm under pressure. The post present’s an opportunity to implement changes to the service that will yield benefits to both patients and the Rehabilitation Division.
