Staff Nurse - Molly Lane Fox UnitIf you have a keen interest or wish to gain experience in neuro-oncology and neurosurgery this opportunity could be for you.Molly Lane Fox Unit is currently a 12 bedded surgical brain tumour ward at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of University College Hospitals London NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). We are about to embark on an exciting relocation in September 2017 within The National to a brand new, specially designed ward. This new ward has 26 beds and continues the work which has already proven successful on our current ward. Our aim is to provide a calming inpatient setting, we use artwork and lighting to help achieve this. We are a friendly and committed team who work closely with specialist therapists who are experienced in the treatment of patients with brain tumours, a palliative care team who provide expert advice and supported by four nurse specialists in neuro-oncology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to consistently provide high quality care to our patients and to ensure that they are physically, psychologically and emotionally looked after. We are devoted to supporting our staff in their professional development and are facilitated in this by dedicated practice facilitators.
