At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.
We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.
We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.
UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service. Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.
NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Junior Doctor ST1/2 post (equivalent to CT1/2 level) is available in the UCLH Head & Neck cancer department for contracts of up to 12 months in the first instance and are renewable by mutual consent. Advertised as Trust Junior Doctor ST1/2 posts for Head & Neck; we would consider applicants wishing to carry out more specific roles in either Maxillofacial Surgery or ENT Surgery depending on individual interest and training needs. This is an exciting time to join the Head & Neck Surgery department, based at the main site of UCLH. The department has recently expanded (December 2015) and is now the main surgical cancer site for Maxillofacial and ENT patients from North and East London (including the Royal Free London, Barts Health and UCLH MDT catchment areas), as a result, the service is now caring for a large number of complex cases and Junior Fellow will receive training and support from a number of senior specialists. The Junior Fellow will provide care for both Maxillofacial and ENT patients. The rota allows the Junior Fellow to have the opportunity to gain significant Head and Neck Cancer experience including reconstructive free flap surgery (around eight major cases performed per month), facial trauma and aesthetic facial surgery. Applicants will also be encouraged to participate in the extensive teaching, research, audit and service improvement within UCL collaboration projects around individual development requirements and the need of the service. The on-call rota is a full shift system to cover the Maxillofacial and ENT admissions. All seven Junior Fellow participate in the shift system. We encourage applications from individuals who are medically qualified Junior Fellow (equivalent to CT1/2) wishing to pursue a career in Head & Neck Surgery.

We offer our permanent staff an interest free season ticket loan for travel, a subsidised social club including gym, free independent and confidential support for all staff, large retail discounts, cycle to work scheme and on-site accommodation to name a few… for more information on our staff benefits please see attached poster.
