At UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) our success starts with you.
We want you to come to UCLH, and stay at UCLH; all of our staff have been involved in developing our values.
We believe that UCLH is a better place for patients and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.
UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service. Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.
NHS staff survey results from 2016, UCLH has been named one of the ten best performing non-specialist trusts against the following statement: “If a friend of relative needed treatment I would be happy with the standard of care provided by this organisation”.

Victor Horsley Ward & Surgical Reception Unit is a joint inpatient/ day surgery service situated on 2nd floor Chandler wing at the National Hospital of Neurology & Neurosurgery (NHNN). Victor Horsley Ward is comprised of 15 inpatient acute neurosurgical beds, predominantly female. These patients can be elective or emergency, mostly being peri-operative. We care for patients that have a vast number of neurosurgical problems, but we regularly see patients going through complex spinal elective operations or injury, patients who have had sustained a sub-arachnoid/ sub-dural haemorrhage, patients being treated/ investigated for hydrocephalus or diseases involving the limbic system. Due to NHNN being a tertiary referral centre of neurosurgery, we often get patients from all over UK, including the Channel Islands and Malta. The surgical reception unit consists of a 12 bedded trolley area (6 males and 6 females) caring for the peri-operative patient. This can be day case patients going through neuro-muscular, neuro-vascular and neuro-urology procedures, glycerol injections or carpel tunnel surgery etc. in which the recovery and length of stay in hospital has to be less than 12 hours. We also get patients ready for their complex operations, bring them to theatre, and then they will have an allocated bed post operatively.

We offer our permanent staff an interest free season ticket loan for travel, a subsidised social club including gym, free independent and confidential support for all staff, large retail discounts, cycle to work scheme and on-site accommodation to name a few… for more information on our staff benefits please see attached poster.
We recognise, reward and thank colleagues by nominating them for our annual Celebrating Excellence Awards, which are funded by UCLH Charity.
We are also members of www.mytrustbenefits.co.uk/ which offers discounts on high street retail stores, offers on travel deals, and also to take advantage of cash back schemes.
