A large specialist retailer in South Devon is seeking an innovative Content Manager to join their eCommerce department.
What you’ll be doing
The core focus of this role is to manage the look and feel of the eCommerce site, and to create engaging and search engine friendly content for the company’s product portfolio.
You’ll be tasked with managing the content, design and imagery of the site and ensuring it’s fully optimised with effective call to actions – this will include your typical on-page SEO and 301/302/404 maintenance. You’ll research content for new products, and will create new pages, product descriptions and categories – ensuring to manage all offers effectively. You’ll then also produce blogs, news stories, video content and how to guides.
As well as producing content yourself, you’ll also be responsible for the output of a small team of creatives. This will involve giving them direction on their content, and proofreading before publishing.
There will be weekly and monthly sales reports to feed back to management, which will include product analysis and purchase trends.
What experience you’ll need
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail – you must be able to maintain accuracy while working to tight deadlines.
You must have previous experience within a similar eCommerce and content-focused role and be able to confidently lead a team.
From a technical perspective, you must have experience with Google Analytics, along with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with Dreamweaver and Power BI would also be advantageous.
