UCLH has two major strategic projects underway. On Grafton Way, we are building a facility which will be home to one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy centres, Europe’s largest centre for the treatment of blood disorders and a hyper modern surgery service. Close by on Huntley Street we are developing the new Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. Replacing the current hospitals on Grays’ Inn Road, this development will mean we can provide multidisciplinary care to our dental and ENT patients in a modern environment. Our Grafton Way facility is due to open in 2020, with Huntley Street opening in 2019.

Emergency Assessment Unit UCLH Emergency Services is one of the busiest in London. Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links.We are currently recruiting Band 5 staff nurses for our Emergency Assessment Unit The Emergency Assessment Unit is an adult inpatient area providing assessment, care and treatment to patients transferred from the Emergency Department.This area also comprises the Ambulatory Care Clinic which provides a consultant led service accessed by the Emergency Department, GP’s and other speciality teams. The Ambulatory Care nurse works independently providing initial assessment and urgent treatment.We have a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join our friendly and dedicated emergency nursing team. This is a particularly exciting time for our Emergency Department; we are mid-way through a £21.7 million re-development of our department – which will provide a world class environment for emergency care, situated right in the centre of London.We are looking for enthusiastic multi skilled staff with experience in acute and/or emergency care who will thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to manage acute medical and surgical patients within a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. Our team is enhanced by Consultant nurses, advanced nurse practitioners who are available to support both clinically and professionally.The ideal candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking with a progressive approach to enhancing patient care within urgent emergency and acute care services. UCLH Nurses are highly regarded and sought after by other hospitals, so working with us provides you with a great platform for a successful and fulfilling nursing career.
