This is an exciting time for our staff, following a recent review of healthcare services in Dorset which will see major changes to the way healthcare is provided. As one of the two acute NHS providers in the east of the county, our services will be closely linked to those provided at the Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We’re working in close collaboration to deliver excellent emergency and planned care over the two sites, for the people of east Dorset.
The Coronary Care Unit at Poole Hospital is an 8 bedded unit caring for acutely ill patients with a range of cardiac conditions. We are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse with a passion for cardiac nursing. We have one full time position of 37.5 hours available. This is an exciting and varied job and will involve working on CCU caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions, assisting with non invasive cardiac investigation clinics and working in our pacing theatre.Our department includes a Non Invasive Cardiac Investigation service, undertaking, stress echocardiograms, trans oesophageal echocardiograms and myoview perfusion scans.
We also have a theatre where permanent pacemakers are implanted and DC cardioversions are performed. We also run the DCCV pre-assessment clinics and assist with Cardiac stress MRIs.
Previous cardiac experience is desirable but not essential. If you are interested please arrange an informal visit so you can see the unit and meet our highly motivated team.
