We are looking for an experienced Senior Grader to join Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to work in the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.

The Somerset Diabetic Eye Screening Programme is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated Senior Grader (Band 7) to join their team. The Service is part of the English National Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and adheres to the National Quality Assurance standards for diabetic retinopathy.
Somerset Diabetic Eye Screening Programme operates a fixed site service delivery model at twelve clinic locations throughout the county. The programme also operates a community-based Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy (SLB) service and community surveillance clinics. The post holder will be the most senior person during screening, surveillance and SLB clinics and will be responsible for the supervision of the support worker in attendance. Although primarily based in the West Somerset area, there is an expectation that the post holder will travel throughout the county to cover for holidays and sickness.
You will be a friendly individual who has excellent communication skills and able to work well within a team, whilst also confident to work autonomously.
Keyboard and computer skills are essential, as is a client centred approach to your work.
You will have completed all relevant City and Guilds units in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening required for this role, including units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 6, 7 and 8 as a minimum, undertaken Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy and hold a current competency assessment, and have experience of surveillance and referral outcome grading.
