We are holding an Assessment Day on 1st of March 2018 from 08:45am to 2:00pm and we would love to see you there! The assessment day will be held at University Hospital Lewisham. We are looking for a patient safety focused Band 5 Nurse with excellent communication skills to join the surgical directorate. The successful candidate will possess an enthusiasm for surgical nursing and further development of their nursing career. The Directorate consists of four wards:

Juniper ward has 26 beds caring for the elective and emergency general surgical patients

Cedar ward has 24 beds caring for Orthopaedics and ENT patients

Larch ward is a 20 Bedded ward specialising in Gynaecology and Bariatric Surgery

Linden ward is a 20 Bedded Elective surgical ward

As our Staff Nurse, we will offer you excellent support in your new role with support from senior nursing management team, the Practice Development Nurse and peer to peer support. We will also offer you one of a kind surgical nursing course in affiliate with University of Greenwich. The nursing teams are committed to providing high quality, safety focused, holistic care in a warm and friendly environment. The Enhanced Recovery Programme is well established on the wards for the care of the elective colorectal, Gynaecology and Orthopaedic patients.

To be successful in the role, you will:

Be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

Ability to work flexibly across all shift patterns

Have a passion for delivering high quality patient care
