Support Worker - 1-2-1 Leaving Care£8.33 per hour (£17326) + £35 per sleep pay (between £3360 and £5040)Total Pay (up to £22366)Full Time - 40 hrs Major Healthcare are a specialist Health and Social Care Recruitment consultancy and we are recruiting for a leading North - West Leaving Care provider. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Support Workers to work with young people in the north west. You will be expected to be comfortable to work with young people with EBD, MH and LD in a leaving care (age16-19) service in Blackpool providing the highest standard of 1-2-1 support to children and young adults in independent living accommodation. You will be predominantly be required to work long days and sleeps on a rota that typically.You will provide support and independent living skills to various clients by utilising your skills and training. As a support worker you will be responsible for the physical and mental wellbeing of the service users, whilst having an understanding and non-judgemental attitude. You will work with various service users including children and young adults with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. Your duties may include: Providing high standard of support to all services usersPromoting and encouraging independent livingSupporting and encouraging the clients to engage with employers, education centresYou may eventually work with several clients across a floating support service so a car driver and vehicle would be advantageous.
