This post is a rotation between our Inpatient Unit and Paediatric Outpatients Department. At the end of the rotation programme there will be an opportunity to apply for a permanent post within the paediatric directorate. With a bespoke rotation package we will offer:Dedicated Paediatric Clinical Educator supportVenepuncture and cannulation training on inductionIV training on induction (if appropriate)PILS trainingMultiple In-house training days and teaching sessionsA Supported supernumerary induction periodA comprehensive competency packageSupport with revalidationMentoring and support throughout the rotation programme and also when settled in a permanent post Mentorship training opportunitiesOpportunities to work with a number of universities and support child branch student placements.Our enviable benefits package also includes, Bupa health insurance, pension scheme, NMC fees paid and support with revalidation.Starfish WardThe ward sees a wide variety of both inpatient and day case patients ranging from medical admissions, neurophysiology testing and a wide variety of surgical admissions. You will gain experience caring for children across a wide range of specialities whilst here with the support of an extensive MDT team including paediatric therapists and health play specialists.Paediatric Outpatients DepartmentAn outpatient's like no other, boasting clinics from over 20 specialities, including a nurse led immunisation clinic and dedicated paediatric phlebotomy services. With paediatrician clinics GP referrals and ambulatory care you can guarantee each day will bring a new opportunity for learning.
