As a Modern Matron you will report into the Clinical Services Manager and will oversee the running of these 2 wards, providing nursing leadership and direction for all nursing staff across the services, (approx. 46 staff in total).Job Type: Permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week)Shift pattern: 7.5 hours per day (Monday - Friday). Core hours 8am - 4pm with occasional early starts/late finishes.Salary: £55,594 per annumDuties:Provide effective line management to Ward Managers within the service and through them ensure that all nursing staff within the service are appropriately managed, ensuring that associated financial resources are controlled and utilised effectively.Provide clinical leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers nurses within the service.Effectively managing the financial resources and assisting Ward Managers Sisters to ensure the optimal deployment of the nursing workforce to meet clinical demands in order to provide high-quality patient care.Key objectives will include contributing to corporate initiatives and plans and achievement of key performance indicators in relation to quality of care and patient experience, Enhanced Recovery (ERAS) and PROMSEnsure that appropriate objectives and personal development plans are developed so that staff receive the necessary training and professional development they require.Skills:Registered Nurse with extensive post graduate surgical experience.Previous experience at a Matron level with excellent leadership skills.Evidence of effective staff management with the ability to manage resources efficiently within budgetary constraints and for a constantly changing workload.An enthusiastic, motivated, experienced nurse who is able to build effective relationships with your teams, consultants, managers, patients and visitors.Excellent communication skills, with a strong collaborative approach and ability to engage the nursing workforce and multidisciplinary teams.TFS Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, age, sexuality, gender identification, or physical ability.TFS Healthcare will make reasonable adjustments and provide support for anyone who needs it either to apply or to succeed in the role.
