Job title: Senior Graphic Designer

Reporting to: Senior Creative Content Manager

My client is an original, design led womenswear brand that has grown from strength to strength since its conception, without compromising its integrity as a trusted retailer and a market leader. It has recently become a part of a listed retail conglomerate which will further fuel the company's growth and open up new development prospects.

Overview of Role:

Support the Senior Creative Content Manager in delivering all digital content across the company's brands. Responsible for the user interface, ensuring a fully responsive and best-practice design approach is applied, whilst being innovative and interactive.


*Elevate and drive the look and feel of brands forward across all channels.
*Implement seasonal brand guidelines and ensure the brand identity is consistent through all design outputs and adheres to brand guidelines.
*Work with the Online Conversion Optimisation Analyst and Senior Web Developer to improve the user experience on all devices, through regular testing, strong design principles and competitor research.
*Lead and manage weekly tasks, seasonal briefs and larger projects ensuring the workflow is managed across the team from brief to final design and delivery.
*Work closely with the Copy Writer to develop on site content ideas which are relevant to the customer and content strategy, as well as supporting marketing campaigns.
*Deliver Creative Concepts as part of integrated Marketing Campaign.
*Have a methodical approach with experience of handing several ongoing work streams.
*Deliver on tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner.
*Manage junior team members - a team of two graphic designers.

Skills Required/Preferred:

*Passionate about design and technology
*Has a key understanding of UX design and trends
*Experience with various UX research methods, including usability testing, interaction design.
*Experience of image manipulation and web design software (e.g. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign)
*Proficient knowledge of Dreamweaver or similar HTML editor and CSS best practices
*Excellent knowledge of all Adobe design programme
*Strong typography skills
*Excellent visual communication and interpersonal skills
*Knowledge of image manipulation including re-colouring, re-sizing and some re-touching
*Creative flair to be able to deliver the right look and feel for the Phase Eight brand
*Strong fashion retail or agency experience with a design or ecommerce environment
*Ability to prioritise workload
*Enthusiastic and can do attitude
*Ability to develop multiple pieces of work at once and deliver on time
